HR Administrator, part-time
We are seeking an HR Administrator to provide support to our Global HR team, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience through exposure to various HR initiatives in a truly global context.

Location: Cambridge, UK (hybrid working, minimum one day per week in Cambridge)
Part-time : 21 hours per week over 3 days
Contract: Fixed-term until 18 December 2026
Salary: £25,000 per annum depending on skills/experience, plus competitive 12% pension benefit
Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata

We are looking for an HR Administrator to provide administrative support to our busy and friendly Global HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience through exposure to various HR initiatives in a truly global context.
In this role, you will be supporting the HR function through maintaining, collating and checking important data, policies, staff records and handbooks so that we can continue to provide a helpful and efficient global HR service.
How you will do this:
HR Management Information:
Assist with maintaining HR metrics, KPIs and other management information as required (including staff attendance, sickness, recruitment, exit interviews and appraisals)
Check, cleanse and maintain the HR policy file plan
Perform various other data checks to ensure accuracy of personnel records
Job Evaluation:
Collate benefits data from external benchmarking company
Cleanse and save latest versions of job descriptions
Other Duties:
Support the maintenance and review of staff handbook and HR policies
Provide back up support on other HR administrative tasks as required.
Support the team with general HR initiatives/Projects
Work in conjunction with other administrative staff to ensure effective support is provided across BirdLife International and provide back up support to BirdLife support team as required.
What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have excellent attention to detail, an ability to remain calm and focused and fantastic communication skills. You’ll have an appreciation for the criticality of maintaining confidential data and be confident with handling and analysing data. This role requires a good general understanding of HR processes and experience in a people-focused role. HR administration experience is an advantage.
