Part-Time Office Assistant
We are looking for a friendly and organised Office Assistant to join the team at Friends of BirdLife and provide administrative support to the Office Manager at our small New York office.

Part-time : 7 hours (1 day per week, (Thursday in-person)
Contract: Open-ended
Salary: $23.87 - $28.75 per hour depending on skills/experience
Annual Leave: 15 business days’ vacation (pro-rata) plus recognised federal holidays

We are looking for a friendly and organised Office Assistant to join the team at Friends of BirdLife and provide administrative support to the Office Manager at our small New York office.
How you will do this:
Preparing Receipts and Acknowledgements for donors
Visiting the mailbox and returning with the mail
Scanning documents and filing
Making bank deposits
Assisting with in-office and off-site programs
Entering donations into accounting software
Entering donations into CRM
Proofing external communications
Assisting with external mailings
What we are looking for:
Confident with data entry, word processing, and general administrative tasks (finance experience is a bonus).
Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Great people skills - friendly, diplomatic, and good at building relationships across all levels.
Clear and professional communicator, both written and spoken.
IT literate - comfortable with Microsoft Office, video conferencing tools, and online systems.
A team player who can use their initiative, stay calm under changing conditions, and improve how things are done.
Trustworthy with sensitive information and careful when handling data.
